1) Who we are
NEWWWZ is a news interface experiment. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can delete it. We keep it plain. No legal fog machine.

2) What we collect (and why)
NEWWWZ can run in two “states”:

Anonymous mode: reading the feed without creating a profile.
Profile mode: nickname + country + age range + email (to unlock alerts & stats).

3) What we DO NOT collect
We don’t want it, and it’s not required for the product:

No selling your personal data.
No “secret” tracking pixels for ads across the web.
No reading your contacts, photos, or private files (we’re a website, not a parasite).

4) Emails
If you enter an email, we use it only for NEWWWZ features (alerts / account-related messages).

DISTOPIAN PROMISE: No newsletters. No “weekly digest”. No “last chance to subscribe”.
Only messages you actually triggered, or essential service notices.

5) Analytics
If analytics are enabled (optional), we use them to understand:

Which features are used (e.g., Alerts, Saved, Past search)
Performance problems and errors
What we should fix first

The goal is to improve NEWWWZ, not to build a shadow profile of you.

6) Data retention

Local data (saved news / alerts / reactions) stays on your device until you clear browser storage.
Server data (profile + alerts delivery) will be stored only as long as needed to provide the service.
Aggregated mood stats may be kept longer because they don’t identify you.

7) Your controls
You can:

Clear cookies/local storage in your browser to wipe local NEWWWZ data.
Ask us to delete your profile data (once server accounts are live).

OPERATOR NOTE: We’ll add a simple “RESET NEWWWZ DATA” button in the footer when the backend is live.
